Are you giving financial advice?
No. Tactical Investing is an analytics and signal tool. You build your own strategies, choose your own assets, and place your own trades. We do not recommend what to buy or sell, and we never execute trades for you.
Do you have a track record?
The Fear Index has been computed daily back to 2010 (EU) and 2011 (US). You can backtest any strategy you design from 2015 before you decide whether to use it. No hidden assumptions.
What if your system is wrong?
Our Fear Index is calculated from underlying instruments that trade in open markets. When fear "moves" in those markets, the signal moves — we don't override or second-guess it. So the system can't be "wrong".
There will always be days when the market reprices faster or slower than these indicators suggest. We don't claim perfection on each move. The edge comes from sticking to a disciplined, signal-driven approach over many periods, rather than trying to outguess short-term noise.
Why not just buy and hold?
You can. And if you can genuinely hold through deep drawdowns without second-guessing yourself, you may not need a tool like this. Tactical Investing is for people who want a rule-based way to adjust risk, without relying on gut feeling or ad-hoc advice.
Where's my money?
With your broker. We never touch it. Tactical Investing only computes Fear Index values and shows how your self-defined strategy would position you. Any trading decisions and actions are entirely up to you.
